Scientists Make Shocking Alzheimer's Discovery

Dateline - Seattle, WA, March 11, 2008

You don't even know who I am, do you, bitch? Researchers at the University of Washington today presented the results of a study showing that Alzheimer's cases are more likely when both the subject's biological parents suffered from the disease. The study focused on 111 families in which both parents had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's.

According to the findings, 42 percent of the children involved had developed the disease, compared to an average of 10 percent in the general population.

"That's greater than you would expect in the general population," said Dr. Thomas Bird, one of the researchers, "I think it confirms that there's a strong genetic component in the disease and that's not a surprise." (link)

The study will be ongoing for at least another decade, according to Bird.

When asked for his opinion while vacationing at Strom Thurmond's plantation in Sen. Robert Byrd's kidney, Gregor Mendel seemed astounded with the results of this study.

"What in the righteous name of fuck have you people been doing for the last 142 years? Do you know what 'inheritance' means? Did none of you read Experiments on Plant Hybridization?" he asked indignantly, "Strom, pass me another pipe of the Ureal Skunk. In the name of the father, the son, and the holy spirit, are you people retarded?"

For WNN this is Yaay Forscience reporting.
