Gates Pledges to Ease Indian Unemployment
Dateline - Beijing, China April 19, 2007
Speaking at a conference in China today, Microsoft founder Bill Gates pledged to bring a new technological revolution to even the darkest parts of the world.
"All human beings deserve a chance to achieve their full potential," said Gates. "Bringing the benefits of technology to the next 5 billion people will require new products that meet the needs of underserved communities; creative, new business approaches that make technology more relevant, accessible and affordable; and close collaboration between local governments, educational institutions and community organizations."
As part of his pledge, Gates offered to sell Microsoft's Windows operating system and Office suite to third world countries for only $3.60. This new opportunity will put many people in developing nations on par with American citizens, as both will now be able to buy Windows and Office for only a few week's wages. Gates did not stop with software, however, as he also went on to address the growing unemployment problem in his adopted country of India.
"I pledge to create an employment portal for Indian engineering students," Gates added, "In India, over 400,000 engineering students graduate each year, and of those only 100,000 can find employment. Compare this to America, where only 400,000 engineering students graduate each year and over 100,000 of those find work. I will lobby to bring more hard-working South Indians to America, joining the world's smartest people with the world's largest exploitive economy."
For WNN this is Fuck Billgates reporting.
