Rove: My Fantasy World is Better Than Yours
Dateline Washington, DC - May 15, 2006
Speaking at the American Enterprise Institute Monday,
Karl Rove made it abundantly clear that he has broken
from the liberal bias of reality.
When addressing Republican fears about the upcoming
midterm elections, and the effect of the President's
historically low approval rating on them, Rove made it
clear that in his happy little world, there is nothing
to fear.
He insisted, "we're going to be just fine in the fall
elections and we're going to be fine because we stand
for things that are important to stand for: a strong
national defense and victory, complete victory in the
war on terror...tax cuts, free trade, fiscal restraint
in the budget process."
It appears that in the land of Karlrovia, running up a
trillion dollar debt fighting for a complete victory in
a war without a defined enemy is reason to celebrate.
How this translates into fiscal restraint is anyone's
guess. How this translates into election results, however,
Rove was more than happy to explain.
"Look, people said the same things in 2004, but let's be
real here. We've got half of America convinced that the
Democratic Party eats babies and worships Satan while
offering up sacrifices to the demigod in the hope of another
terrorist attack on America. BTW, I'd like to thank Fox News.
Figure in that, in the swing states like Ohio, we have Diebold
pumping fully corrupt voting machines and a haphazard counting
process with no accountability or paper trail to secure us
the few districts where the race may be close, and there's
no way we are going to lose."
Indeed, when you look at it this way, perhaps Karl Rove isn't
quite off his rocker yet.
For WNN this is Lubeupand Spreadem reporting.
