Greta Van Susteren Arrested in Connection with Holloway Disappearance

Dateline Aruba - May 23, 2006

Having arrested every male under the age of 25 on the island of Aruba, and Guido Wever in Holland, authorities in Aruba have now arrested Fox News correspondant Greta Van Susteren in connection with the disappearance of missing white American girl Natalee Holloway.

"We believe that due to her extensive attention paid to this case, that perhaps Van Susteren may have information regarding the disappearance," said Aruban Chief Inspector Letsget Everyone, "Her name is similar to Joran Van Der Sloot, in that it contains a 'Van' and therefore we have reason to believe that she may be involved in some way."

Beth Holloway Twitty, the girl's mother, responded to the arrest by saying that she is "shocked and speechless".

"Here I've been trying to manipulate the media for my own personal gain, and I come to find that the media has been using me all along. Of course I am shocked and upset and will no doubt have to give many more interviews in the future to get through this difficult time."

Rupert Murdoch issued a pre-emptive statement late today, stating that "...Fox News takes this arrest seriously. We reject any assertion that we would kidnap a girl for ratings. We stick strictly to the playbook of sensationalism and propaganda in order to provide convenient distractions and misinformation to the American public. We are confident that, like the other 1347 people detained in this case, Greta will be released within a few days."

For WNN this is Heylook Morewhitegirl reporting.
