Florida Faces Impending Alberto Showdown

Dateline Naples, FL - June 12, 2006

In a statement from the White House Monday, President Bush urged citizens of Florida's Gulf Coast to "stay the course" and fight back against the first named storm of the 2006 hurricane season.

"This type of threat is exactly why we need more National Guardsmen on our borders," the President said, "Here we have an illegal invasion of our country by this, so-called, 'Hurricane' Al-ber-to. Heh, well I have faith that the citizens of the US can deport this, so-called 'hurricane'"

The Minutemen, a group of citizens who have been vocal in the ongoing debate surrounding immigration, have already dispatched members to the Gulf Coast to confront Alberto.

"I hope everyone can see what a horrible threat illegal immigrants are to this nation," voiced Minutemen spokesman Cletus Johnston, "Well us Minutemen certainly aren't going to allow this Alberto, or Jose, or Chav-ez to just walk in here and take our jobs! Let's go boys!"

In the coming days, they will certainly have their resolve tested, as they go nose to nose with Hurricane Alberto.
