India Up In Arms Over 7/11 Bombings
Dateline Mumbai, India - July 11, 2006
Almost 150 people were killed today in a string of bombings
which rocked India. Explosions were felt on commuter trains
across India's financial capital, leaving citizens shocked,
scared, and looking for answers.
"We do not understand, why would anyone do such a thing to
us," asked one scared commuter immediately after the
bombings, "the man next to me was bleeding, and was not
breathing. I tried to unplug him for 5 seconds and then
let him reboot, but he did not have a power cable! I did
not know what to do after that, and my level 2 supervisor
was not available at that time. It was horrible!"
Seven trains were hit between 6 and 7pm, local time. The
attacks came within minutes of each other, reminding many
of the attacks on London buses last year. As of yet, nobody
has claimed responsibility for the bombings.
"We have only one thing to say to the perpetrators of this
horrible crime," said Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh,
"What is the deal with the date, 7/11, is this some kind
of joke? Do you bitches want a slurpee with that? How
about a microwave burrito? This is bullshit! I call on our
brothers and sisters abroad, no more Slim-Jims for anybody
until we get this solved and somebody is brought to justice!
We've got your nachos on lock down, we will not stand for
this!"
The economic fallout from today's bombings reached far beyond
Mumbai, formerly known as Bombay. With millions stranded from
their jobs, call-centers across the city were unable to meet
demand. Leaving customers irate, and companies struggling to
find answers.
"Right now we have no solution," said Jayarishi Sumarkasingh,
head of Dell's Bombay support office, "I think we have seen
through the past 10 years that nobody can read a support manual
and completely ignore customer information like South Indians.
This is why Bill Gates has called us the smartest people in the
world. It is not like we can just have American rednecks do
this job, they cannot read! ha ha."
Indeed, a tragic day in this vital part of the world.
For WNN this is Horribly Offensive reporting.
